SA manager confirms Big Nuz missed flight

Lucius Banda’s story that members of Big Nuz missed their flight at OR Tambo has been confirmed by the artist’s South African manager.

In a telephone interview from South Africa, Ntokozo Khathi, artist manager at Afrotainment/Ezase Afro which manages Big Nuz said the artists missed their flight while at the airport.

“They checked in at the airport, but delayed to report for the flight. Malawians should believe that Big Nuz was coming to Malawi. We will make a statement through the promoter shortly,” said Khati.

She said her office is working with the promoter of the trip and festival organisers to see the way forward.

Khati also disputed stories that the group had other performances over the weekend.

“We signed a deal with Sand Festival and they paid for all what we requested. It was also the only trip for the group over the weekend,” she said.

Meanwhile, organisers of Sand Festival have said they are claiming the money paid to Big Nuz.

“They have embarrassed us. We are in touch with them and we are claiming the money we paid to them. I hope they will honour it,” said Banda.
